If you don’t have or can’t find your Letter of Admission, email us at [email protected] and we will re-issue it at no cost to you.
NewU is the most affordable bachelor’s degree college in the Washington, DC area and possibly in the nation.
Scholarships here are based on need and family income. If you have not applied for one of our generous scholarships, do so asap here. Streamlined application available.
We have more applicants than available seats and scholarships. Your Admission and Financial Aid Letters are offers, which are only guaranteed after you make the Enrollment Intent Deposit.
Lock in your seat and scholarship before they go to another student here.
Once we receive your Enrollment Intent Deposit, we will email you a Student Contract. Review and sign it to officially become an enrolled student at NewU.
This unlocks benefits such as:
- $0 interest monthly payment plan option
- Access to your NewU University email account
- Student discounts with Student Beans and others
- Invitations to campus events and more prior to classes
- Support with finding and securing housing options
Checklist for TRANSFER Students
Transfer students from other colleges are automatically pre-approved for admission. There is no need to apply. Simply email us your college transcript so we can send you a Letter of Admission (US domestic students only; does not apply to international students)
Complete a short and free form to get your prior college credits reviewed and approved for transfer here.

AFTER YOU ENROLL
We have a 0 interest payment plan to make earning a college degree even more manageable. Submit the short payment plan request form here.
Orientation is mandatory for all first-year students and new transfer students.

Transportation and housing can be a pain, but if you plan early you’ll be better off.
We keep tuition low by focusing on the classroom and learning experience for students, so we don’t own or operate residence halls, dining, or transportation services.
There are several off-campus housing providers you can review here or choose to live with family or friends.
Classes are only Monday through Thursday, and only 10 am – 3 pm, so schedule any part-time job or other obligations accordingly.

- Final high school transcript or diploma
- Other documents as required by NewU
- (optional) Transcript of prior college credits or IB/AP courses completed
