A full bachelor's degree in 3 years, without student loans
We built NewU from scratch, with no federal or state funds, no foundation support, and no big donors. The founding team and I have contributed over $9 million of our own time and money to launch and keep NewU going.
Today, the university is accredited by MSCHE, every program is a full 120-credit bachelor’s degree completed in 3 years, and tuition averages just $150 per credit. Two classes of first-generation and low-income students have already graduated in 3 years (vs. a national average of 6-8 years) and without the need for student loans.
94% of our students are first-generation or low-income. 2 out of 3 tell us they would not be in college if not for NewU. In each of the last two years, we awarded more in student aid than we received in donations. Your gift closes that gap and puts a degree within reach for more students.
